All party delegation likely to visit J&K early next week

An all party delegation is likely to visit Jammu and Kashmir early next week. According to Home Ministry sources, details and the composition of the delegation and the final date is being worked out for the visit. Yesterday an all party meeting on Jammu and Kashmir had decided to send an all party delegation to the State to meet all sections of people and gather all shades of opinions on the issues facing the state.Meanwhile, the core committee of the Congress held a meeting at Prime Minister's residence this evening. The top brass of the party is understood to have dsicussed the outcome of yesterday's meeting and the road map ahead.Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah also met UPA Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi in the afternoon.Earlier in the day the Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is doing a tough job and he should be given time and support. He was addressing a press conference in Kolkata.
