All party delegation leaves for Jaitapur today

An all party delegation has left for Jaitapur today to understand the reason for resistance shown by the local population towards the setting up of a nuclear power plant there. Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithiviraj Chavan informed this to media persons in Mumbai today after a cabinet meeting. He said that he will go Jaitapur himself to take stock of the situation. The Chief Minister said that a motion of thanks to the Prime Minister for his 400 crore rupees help and the Union Agriculture Minister's 200 crore rupees aid to the farmers in Maharashtra was tabled in the cabinet meeting today.
