An All Party Delegation led by Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram today concluded its three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir and flew back to New Delhi. The team which arrived in Jammu on Tuesday afternoon after spending one and a half days in Srinagar visited the state to get a sense of the ground situation before deciding on steps to defuse tensions. It met a cross section of people here, including political groups and Kashmiri migrants and traders. A meeting of Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) on September 13 and all parties meet convened by the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh had decided to send the delegation to Jammu and Kashmir to assess the situation and suggest measures to find a way out to end the deadlock.
