The Maharashtra State Election Commission (SEC) on Friday (1st December 2023) informed through a press release that all the newly elected members of the Gram Panchayats can now submit election expenditure details through the traditional offline way along with the True Voter app.<br />'' <br />'' According to the press release, it was earlier made mandatory for all candidates to submit their election expenditure details through the True Voter app. But as per the reports received from the District Collectors, there were technical difficulties in it. Therefore, the SEC has said that those who are not able to file election expenditure details through the True Voter app, can also submit the details of the same through traditional offline method.<br />'' <br />'' Voting process was conducted on 5th November 2023 for the general and by-elections of Gram Panchayats in various districts of the state. The results of these elections were announced on 6th November 2023. Hence, all elected representatives, including those who won unopposed, are required to submit election expenditure details by 6th December 2023.<br />'' <br />''However, in Naxal affected/remote areas, the result was announced on 7th November 2023. Therefore, all the elected representatives from these areas including those who won unopposed need to submit their expenditure details by 7th December 2023.
