<span style="color: #222222;">Election Commission on Thursday said that all measures are being taken to ensure that media platforms are not misused. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Briefing reporters in New Delhi today, Deputy Election Commissioner Umesh Sinha said social media platforms have also laid down voluntary Code of Ethics for the forthcoming general elections.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Commission announced that three BJP candidates in the Arunachal Pradesh assembly election have been elected unopposed as no other candidates are in the fray from the three seats. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The three assembly constituencies are Dirang, Yachuli and Along (East). Briefing media, Deputy Election Commissioner, Chandra Bhushan Kumar said, from Dirang seat, three nominations were made out of which two candidates withdrew their nominations.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, two candidates filed their nominations each on Yachuli and Along (East) and after the scrutiny, one nomination in each seat was rejected.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The commission said 616 valid nominations were filed for the first phase and 631 nominations for the 2nd phase. Around one crore new voters were added in the last four to five weeks. For the first time, VVPATs are being deployed in the Lok Sabha Polls across the country. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The commission said, 23 thousand complaints were registered on its C-Vigil app. It said, 60 per cent of them were found correct and action was taken on them. The poll body said, it has seized unaccounted cash, illicit liquor, drugs, gold and freebies worth around 673 crore rupees since the model code of conduct came into effect. </span><br />''
