<span style="color: #222222;">Assam DGP Kula Saikia has said that all measures are being taken to ensure free and smooth polls in the state. Talking to newspersons in Guwahati today, Mr. Saikia said that 33 additional companies of security forces have arrived in the state. Over 20 thousand licensed arms have been deposited since February and over 6 thousand Non Bailable Warrants have been executed so far. The DGP said that vulnerable mapping is being done by the security forces in run up to the polls. Mr. Saikia said that he held a meeting with neighbouring DGPs on security issues. He said social media is being monitored regularly at district level, but nothing unusual has been noticed so far. He assured that action would be taken if anyone violates Model Code of Conduct.</span><br />''  <br />
