In Uttar Pradesh, all major opposition parties have welcomed the Supreme Court's decision to uphold the Allahabad High Court order quashing the acquisition of land in Greater NOIDA. Leader of the Opposition in Legislative Council, Ahmad Hasan has said that apex court order has exposed the Mayawati government's connivance with builders. BJP State President Surya Pratap Shahi said that observation made by the Supreme Court has proved that BSP government is acquiring farmers land at throw away prices for the benefit of builders and industrialists. Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh has demanded a judicial inquiry into all land acquisition made by the BSP government.
