Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that all the issues confronting the nation can be solved through people's participation, innovation and technology. Addressing the participants of Smart India Hackathon through video conferencing, Mr Modi said, the true essence of democracy is public participation. <br/><br/>Mr Modi said, there is a need to use technology more and innovate more as people are living in a technology driven era. Mr Modi said, India is a youthful nation and the youth of the country is blessed with phenomenal energy which will bring very good results for the nation. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister said, technology and innovation are powering so many changes and things like floppies, tape recorders and walkmen have become things of past. He said, technology has made things much simpler. Mr Modi mentioned about Start-Up India and MUDRA scheme which is promoting entrepreneurship and innovation. He also said that the country is moving towards cashless economy through technology. <br/><br/>Mr Modi also interacted with students from several centres who are participating in the Hackathon. Engineering students from across the country are participating in the 36-hour non-stop digital product development competition.
