<span style="color: #222222;">Government of India has declared some countries as countries at risk due to detention of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 in South Africa and other countries. In wake of this, Maharashtra Government has also issued some directives for passengers arriving in the state. It has come into effect from today. All international passengers arriving in the state will have to compulsorily undergo RT-PCR test at the airport and if tested negative will have to undergo 14 days of home quarantine. If found positive, they will be shifted to hospital. International passengers arriving from countries at risk shall have to undergo mandatory seven-day institutional quarantine and RT-PCR test shall be carried out on 2nd, 4th and 7th day. For intra state passengers who are not fully vaccinated, RT-PCR test within 48 hours of arrival is mandatory.<br />''<br />''Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (Mumbai Airport) Management has made various arrangements adhering to these directives. Forty eight Registration Counters and 40 Sampling Booths are set-up at an airport for RT-PCR testing facility. In addition to normal RT-PCR, 30 Rapid PCR machines are available for the passengers having connecting onward flights with short connecting time. Passengers who have not done their pre-booking of RT-PCR test online, QR codes have been displayed at various locations in the arrival corridor. Physical forms for RT-PCR registration are also made available to passengers on board with help of airlines which they can fill before disembarking from flight and thus avoid queuing for the registration on arrival.</span><br />
