<span style="color: #222222;">arnataka Health and Medical Education Minister Dr. K Sudhakar has said that all the international passengers arriving in Karnataka will have to undergo RT PCR test. He was speaking to media persons in Bengaluru today after a meeting with the members of Covid Technical Advisory Committee. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The minister said that about 2500 passengers arrive every day to the city from abroad and it will be mandatory for everyone to take the Covid test. Based on the test report those negative but symptomatic will be home quarantined and re-tested on the fifth day. Those asymptomatic will be tested on the 7th day. Those with a positive report will be hospitalised. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking about the preparations for the Omicron variant, the minister said that availability of Covid beds, oxygen beds, deployment of doctors and paramedical staff, supply of medicines was discussed in the meeting today. It was also decided in the meeting to set up a panel of 10 experts to formulate separate guidelines for the treatment of people infected by the new strain of virus. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He requested those who have not taken their vaccine dose to come forward and get vaccinated. The minister said that it was suggested that those who have not taken the second dose should not be allowed in the mall, theatre and that the Government should not bear their medical expenses.
