Retail chemists today observed a day-long nation-wide strike to press for their demands. They protested against the government's decision to make e-portal registration for chemists and druggists mandatory among other issues. Around 8.5 lakh retail chemists, druggists and pharmacies joined the strike. All India Organization of Chemists and Druggists described the strike as successful.
