All India Police Shooting Championship in Jalandhar on Monday

Punjab Police is organizing the 6th All India Police Shooting Championship-2012 at Punjab Armed Police Headquarters in Jalandhar from Monday. More than 400 men and women shooters from 23 states, union territories and central police organizations including BSF, CISF, CRPF and ITBP will participate in the 5 day event. Punjab Police is hosting the meet for the second time since its start in 2007.

Additional DGP, Armed Police-cum-Central Sports Officer, Punjab Police, Gurdev Singh Sahota said in Jalandhar, today that most of the shooting competitions will be held at PAP shooting range. He said it is the best in Punjab and competitions of Big Bore Rifle having 300 meters range will be held at Army Shooting Range in village Haripur.

Opening ceremony of the competition will be presided over by the DGP, Punjab Police, Sumedh Singh Saini.
