In Assam , a two-day All India Gandhian Summit will be held at Guwahati from Monday.

The Summit has been organized by the Gandhi Global Family of New Delhi, coinciding with the 65th death anniversary of the Father of the Nation.

The Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and the State Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi will attend the summit along with delegates from across the country.

Union Minister Azad who is also the President of Gandhi Global Family, will formally launch the “Janani Sishu Suraksha Karyakram”, a new health scheme under the National Rural Health Mission in Assam .

He will also inaugurate the Mobile Medical Units for 23 Sub-Divisions of the State at the function.
