In Punjab, all government agencies are going to start wheat purchase from tomorrow. This year 1738 wheat purchase centers are being set up in the state. A government spokesman said in Chandigarh that staff involved in purchase has been given instructions to make arrangements that farmers don’t face any problem in the market. All the state government purchasing agencies and FCI have been asked to complete all arrangements in such a way that purchased stock is being lifted from the market immediately to make place for new arrival. Arrangements have been made in such a way that farmers get payment within 48 hours of purchase.
