All Delhi sports avenues ready to host CW Games: Organising commitee

The Commonwealth Games Organising Committee has said that all the sports avenues in the capital are ready to host the games scheduled to take place in the month of October. Speaking to the media in New Delhi today, the Organising Committee Vice Chairman, Randhir Singh said that he has personally inspected every venue and has found them to be fit for hosting the games. He said that the Organising Committee has taken over all the games venues though safety regulation certificates for some of the stadia from the concerned agencies are in the process. He further said, some minor repair work and removal of waste materials at the sites may take another week's time to complete. Replying to a question, the Organising Committee Secretary General, Lalit Bhanot said that Shivaji Stadium is undergoing renovation and in the event of non-completion of this practice venue adequate standby arrangement is kept handy.
