<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur today said it is remarkable that all decisions in GST Council have been taken with consensus. Speaking at a function in Delhi to mark completion of two years of GST, the Minister expressed pride that India has the first true federal GST in the world.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, government aspires to have the best Goods and Services Tax in the world. The Minister added that even after two years, NDA Government continues to strive to introduce new processes to make things easier for the taxpayer. Mr Thakur said, new IT systems will meet the future needs and make compliance easier.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' The Minister said introduction of GST was a challenging task but government was determined to make it a success. He said the focus is on its smooth implementation.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Speaking on this occasion, Revenue Secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey said more than 70 lakh returns by GST taxpayers are being filed online without any manual interface. He assured that government is committed to resolve problems faced by the industry. He further said digitization will ensure that taxpayers can pay taxes in a hassle-free manner.&nbsp;</span><br />
