All the BJP MLAs were expelled from Delhi Legislative Assembly for three days from Friday after ruckus over their demand for a House Committee to probe alleged corruption in Commonwealth Games. Speaker Yoganand Shastri expelled the BJP MLAs for three sittings after a motion was moved by Transport Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely on the third day of the Winter Session. The BJP members, led by Leader of the Opposition Vijay Kumar Malhotra, demanded that a House Committee be formed immediately for a transparent probe into the Games scam. The agitating BJP members trooped into the well and shouting slogan in their demand. Ms Dikshit alleged that the BJP always try to stall proceedings and the party was in no mood to listen. Dr Shastri tried to pacify the Opposition and appealed to them to raise the issue later but it fell on deaf ears. Amid the pandemonium, the Speaker adjourned the House twice, first for 10 minutes and then for 20 minutes. Rejecting the charges of Opposition Leader, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said there is no constitutional breakdown in the state.
