<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, all the arrangements are in place for the fifth phase of District Development Council DDC Elections and Panchayat by-polls tomorrow. In view of COVID-19 pandemic, adequate arrangements have been put in place to ensure safety of all stakeholders including the voters in all poll going areas. The Polling for this phase shall be conducted from 7 AM to 2 PM.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports that out of 280 DDC Constituencies across the Union Territory, 37 District Development Council constituencies will witness polling in the fifth phase of ongoing polls, besides the voting shall be conducted in 58 vacant Sarpanch and 218 vacant Panch seats tomorrow. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The voting will be conducted in 37 DDC constituencies including 17 from Kashmir and 20 from Jammu division. Against 17 DDC constituencies of Kashmir division, 155 candidates are in fray including 30 females whereas, in Jammu division, 144 candidates are in fray for 20 DDC constituencies, including 40 females. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">As far as Panchayat by-Polls are concerned, 125 Sarpanch vacancies have been notified in the 5th phase, out of which 30 have been elected unopposed and there shall be contest in 58 constituencies for which 175 candidates including 51 females are in the fray. Similarly, out of 1412 Panch vacancies notified in this phase, 218 constituencies will go for elections with 527 candidates including 137 female candidates. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">As many as 8,27,519 electors are eligible to cast their votes. Out of them, 4,39,529 are from Jammu and 3,87,990 are from Kashmir division.
