All arrangement in place for by-polls to be held for two assembly constituencies in Nagaland tomorrow

<span style="color: #222222;">All preparations have been put in place for the By-Polls to the 14-Southern Angami-1 and 60-Pungro Kiphire Assembly Constituencies to be held tomorrow.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Polling will begin from 6 A.M. to 4 P.M. There are 22 Polling Stations in 14-Southern Angami-1 and 77 Polling Stations under 60-Pungro Kiphire Assembly Constituencies.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> <br />''The electorate for the Bye-Election contains 43,088 voters. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The 14-Southern Angami-1 Assembly Constituency has a total of 13,588 electors including 53 service voters while, 60 Pungro-Kiphire Assembly Constituency has a total of 29,500 electors including 101 service voters.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Services voters for both the constituencies have been provided with postal ballots on 28th of October electronically. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Besides this, absentee voters including senior citizens of 80 years above, Persons with Disabilities and COVID-19 patients who have voted from their home through postal ballots includes 152 electors under 14-Southern Angami-1 and 196 in 60- Pungro-Kiphire, besides 261 voters under Election duties in Kiphire and 10 in Kohima.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking to AIR News this evening, Chief Electoral Officer,  Nagaland Abhijit Sinha said, all arrangements has been done for conduct of the bye-poll in a peaceful, free fair and safe manner. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, arrangements have been made to ensure that all COVID-19 safety measures are in place where face mask, hand sanitizers will be made available at the polling booths, besides providing gloves to the voters before registering their votes in the Electronic Voting Machines.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The CEO said, COVID-19 positive voters have also been identified in both the constituencies wherein arrangement have been made to transport them through ambulances to the Polling Station and they will cast their votes in the last hour.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">On security arrangement, Sinha said CAPF, IR Battalions and NAP have been deployed to all polling stations.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, under 14 Southern Angami-1 Assembly Constituency, more than 50 per cent Polling Stations has been classified as vulnerable-critical while 40 per cent in Pungro-Kiphire as vulnerable-critical. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, in all 22  Polling Stations in 14 Southern Angami- have been covered with web-casting while in Pungro-Kiphire 30 per cent of the Polling Stations are under web-casting while the rest will be captured through offline videography.   </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, PDA consensus candidate Medo Yhokha of NDPP, Kikovi Kirha of NPF and independent candidate Seyievilie Peter Zashümo are in fray for Southern Angami-1 seat.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">For Pungro-Kiphire seat, PDA consensus candidate Lirimong Sangtam of BJP, Khaseo Anar from Congress party and three independent candidates – K.Shellumthong, T.Yangseo Sangtam, and Kiusumew Yimchunger are contesting. The counting of votes to these two constituencies will take place on 10th of November.</span><br />''
