<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh has said that all 22 government medical colleges and hospitals in the state would be subjected to security checks by the National Security Council. Mr Deshmukh further said that taking into consideration all incidents in the last few months, the need of hour is to conduct safety inspection on priority and the process is starting immediately.  </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Safety audit of government medical colleges and hospitals, affiliated institutions including fire prevention audit are under the control of the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment. This will be done through an autonomous agency called National Security Council.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Deshmukh informed that this safety check is being done as it is necessary for hospital's quality improvement, patient's welfare and securing the manpower. The security check will cost around Rs 37.22 lakh.</span><br />''  <br />
