In Uttar Pradesh, all ten candidates for Rajya Sabha biennial election likely to be declared elected unopposed.AIR correspondent reports that ruling Samajwadi Party has fielded 6 candidates including cine star turn politician Jaya Bachchan, outgoing Rajya Sabha member Naresh Agarwal, Darshan Singh Yadav, Brij Bhushan Tiwari, Kironmoy Nanda and Munawwar Salim. Former UP Chief Minister Mayawati and outgoing BSP Member of Upper House Munquad Ali, BJP Vice President Vinay Katiyar and former Minister Rashid Masood as Congress nominee have also filed their papers for Rajya Sabha biennial elections. Election for 10 seats is being held in the state. Tomorrow is last date for nominations and day after tomorrow scrutiny will take place. No other nomination is expected. It is almost certain that after the scrutiny and expiry of the last date of withdrawals, all the 10 candidates will be declared elected unopposed.
