Hit and run case convict Alistair Pereira on Monday surrendered before a court in Mumbai. Pareira surrendered before Sewri court in south Mumbai after four days of the Apex Court’s verdict which upheld the Bombay High Court’s judgement awarding him three years of sentence for the hit and run case.In 2006, Pareira under the influence of alcohol ran over 15 persons sleeping on a Mumbai pavement killing seven of them.The Bombay High Court had awarded him three years of imprisonment in 2007. Pereira had challenged the High court verdict in the Supreme Court and was subsequently granted bail.
