<span style="color: #222222;">The Alibaug district sessions court today directed to conduct medical examination of journalist and Editor in Chief of Republic TV, Arnab Goswami.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Goswami who was brought to Alibaug in Raigad district after his arrest from his Mumbai residence this morning was interrogated for almost one and a half hour by the police. He accused the police of physical assault, on which the court directed to conduct his medical examination.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports that Goswami will be produced in the court again after his medical examination reports are received. The Alibaug police have sought police custody to Goswami for allegedly abetting suicide of a 53-year-old interior designer.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In 2018, an architect and his mother committed suicide over alleged non-payment of dues by Goswami's Republic TV. Meanwhile, protesting against his arrest, the BJP today staged demonstrations outside the Alibaug court where the senior journalist was produced. The BJP alleged that Government acted in vengeful manner in arresting Goswami.</span><br />
