In Algeria, Army chief summoned top military brass for an emergency meeting today as he pushes for declaring President Abdelaziz Bouteflika unfit for office. Military chief of staff Ahmed Gaid Salah yesterday claimed that unnamed figures were plotting against the military, as tensions mount in the country.
