In Punjab, alert troops of Border Security Force (BSF) have gunned down a Pakistani smuggler in Khemkaran sector in Ferozepur and recovered 13 kilograms of Heroin and Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) of 5 Lakh rupees from his possession along with a pistol, two magazines and 10 live cartridges, in the wee hours, today.The BSF officials have revealed to AIR Jalandhar correspondent that the smugglers were more than two in number. Their movement was noticed by BSF when they were trying to sneak in the contraband and FICN. When challenged by troops, they opened fire. The BSF retaliated in self defence, killing one smuggler on the spot. Others ran back taking advantage of darkness.
