In the United States, an American female teacher shot dead three persons and wounded three others after learning that she had been denied tenure at the Alabama University. School officials and local media said the incident happened yesterday at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. College spokesman Ray Garner told reporters that police had arrested one person and detained another. He said two of the injured are in a critical condition. A TV report said all three dead were staff members at the university.
