Akhilesh Yadav sworn in as UP CM

Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav has been sworn in as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Governor B.L. Joshi administered him the oath of office today at La Martiniere school ground in Lucknow. He is the youngest and 33rd chief Minister of the state. With this Samajwadi Party begins its fourth tenure in the state. Mulayam Singh Yadav has served as Chief Minister of the state three times.

19 cabinet and 26 Ministers of state have also taken oath. Cabinet Ministers are Mohammad Azam Khan, Shivpal Singh Yadav, Ahemad Hasan, Wakar Ahemad Shah, Raja Mahendra Aridaman Singh, Anand Singh, Ambika Chaudhary, Raghuraj Pratap Singh Raja Bhaya, Awadhesh Prasad, Balram Yadav, Om Prakash Singh, Paras Nath Yadav, Ram Govind Chaudhary, Durga Prasad Yadav, Brahma Shankar Tripathi, Kameshwar Updhyay, Rajaram Pandey, Raj Kishor Singh and Shiva Kumar Beriya.

Union Ministers, several national leaders and Chief Ministers of several states attended the function.
