Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav has been sworn in as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. The youngest Chief Minister of the State was administered oath of office and secrecy by the Governor, Mr. B.L. Joshi in Lucknow today. Mr. Akhilesh Yadav is the 33rd Chief Minister of the State and fifth belonging to Samajwadi Party.

19 cabinet and 26 Ministers of state were also administered the oath. Cabinet Ministers include Mohammad Azam Khan, Shivpal Singh Yadav and Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaya.

Union Ministers, national leaders and Chief Ministers of several states attended the function.
