Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan to begin in Maharashtra's Nashik today

The prestigious Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan will begin in Nashik city of Maharashtra today. The much-awaited literary festival could not be held last year due to Corona pandemic. However, with the significant improvement in the Covid-19 situation in the state the festival is set to begin from today.<br />”<br />”It will be inaugurated by veteran writer Vishwas Patil in the presence of the first scientist president of the Sammelan Dr. Jayant Naralikar at 4.30 pm today. AIR correspondent reports, The much-awaited 94th Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Sammelan is all set to begin in Kusumagraj Nagari at Nashik.<br />”<br />”The sammelan had faced many difficulties last year and even this year. Veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar will be the Chief Guest and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will attend the festival virtually. Many events are scheduled to be held before the inauguration of the Sammelan.<br />”<br />”Granth Dindi which carries famous books and novels in a palanquin will begin from the residence of great Marathi poet and novelist late V V Shirwadkar who was prominently known as Kusumagraj.<br />”<br />”Art exhibition and books exhibition will be inaugurated during the day which will be attended by the eminent personalities in the state. Nashik Municipal Corporation has made special arrangements by providing free buses on 12 routes to visit the Sammelan.<br />”<br />”The ceremony will be available live on 12 youtube channels and Facebook page. Many sessions and other activities will be seen in this 3-day festival and it is expected to be a feast for the literature lovers in Maharashtra.&nbsp;<br />
