Akashvani Kohima in Nagaland starts broadcasting news in Pochury dialect

<span style="color: black;">To preserve and promote different dialects of various states, Akashvani Kohima in Nagaland has started the broadcast of news in Pochury dialect from today. A launching programme was held at the premises of Akashvani Kohima, where officers and Staff of Akashvani Kohima, along with members of the Pochury Hoho, joined the celebration.  In an audio message Director General Akashvani, Dr. Vasudha Gupta expressed happiness that the Pochury Dialect News is being launched as a daily News  programme at Akashvani Kohima from today. She said, this is a great achievement of Akashvani as it attaches utmost importance to local languages for better and fruitful communication. Dr. Gupta also urged the Pochury people to be keen listeners of Akashavani programmes as they can get benefit from the informative and life-changing content. The Director General also requested listeners for their prompt feedback so that Akashavani can serve them better. <br />''</span><br />'' <span style="color: black;">Speaking on behalf of the Pochury community during the launching programme, Vice President, Kohima based Pochury Hoho, Siewatho S Nyusou termed the day a Red Letter day in the history of the Pochury tribe. Mr. Nyusou said, through the launching of the programme, the tribe will not only get benefits but also job opportunities. He said, this will also help in preserving the Pochury dialect. He expressed hope that the youngsters will be motivated to learn more about their local language. Mr. Nyusou further expressed gratitude to the Officers and Staff of Akashwani Kohima, Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting, Dr. L Murugan and especially Director General Akashwani, Vasudha Gupta for working hard towards the initiative of realising the broadcasting of Pochury dialect in the local language bulletin.</span><br />
