In Punjab, Shiromani Akali Dal is convening a meeting of its newly elected Legislatures at Chandigarh tomorrow morning. AIR correspondent reports that President of Shiromani Akali Dal, Sukhbir Singh Badal has convened the meeting to elect the leader of the Legislature Party. A combined meeting of Shiromani Akali Dal and Bhartiya Janata Party legislatures is also scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. After the joint meeting of the alliance, Shiromani Akali Dal will stake its claim to form the government in the state.
