Ajit Singh reiterates AI striking pilots’ report to duty, demands to be considered

Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh has reiterated that the demands of Air India's striking pilots will be considered only if they report back to duty unconditionally.

An official release said, Mr Singh's statement came in response to a May 27 letter written by the Indian Pilots Guild, IPG to the Civil Aviation Minister insisting on their demands.

The striking pilots' demands include reinstatement of terminated pilots, recognition of derecognized IPG and assurance of promotion from First Officer Pilot to Commander in six years.

The Civil Aviation Minister also held a meeting with top officials of the Ministry and Air India to review the situation arising out of the strike that entered its 23rd day today.
