Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh told the Lok Sabha today that the government will make every effort to end the crisis in Air India.
Replying to a discussion, he said it will seek the cooperation of all employees including the pilots to resolve the crisis facing the national flag carrier. He said that the government has approved a bailout package of 30 thousand crore rupees for its turn-around. He said the Justice Dharmadhikari Committee report relating to the human resource policy for its employees will be implemented after taking all sections into confidence. He said that the government is currently studying the implications of the Justice Dharmadhikari Committe report. Calling upon the pilots to end their strike in the interest of all stake holders including passengers, Mr Ajit Singh said that the government will not be vindictive to them.
Already, the image of Air India has been badly dented because of the continuing strike by the pilots. The minister said that government will always give the first preference to Air India.
