Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Friday spoke with Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh over the phone and briefed him the current flood situation due to heavy rain in Maharashtra.<br />'' <br />'' The Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has assured Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar about the all type of immediate assistance from the centre at flood affected areas. In this regard, army, navy and airforce all three security wings will be ready to help said Mr. Singh.<br />'' <br />'' The state government has appointed Asim Gupta, secretary, relief and rehabilitation department, as the nodal officer to coordinate with the defense ministry on rescue and relief work in the flood-hit areas.<br />
