Maharashtra leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Ajit Pawar has demanded an urgent call for a session of the Legislative Assembly to provide relief to the farmers and citizens in view of the loss of agricultural land and crops due to heavy rains and floods. Mr. Pawar has written a letter to both the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister and has brought to the attention of the state administration the seriousness of the damage caused due to heavy rains in the state.
''
''Mr. Pawar said that it is necessary to take immediate measures. He also said that due to the non-establishment of the cabinet, even where the guardian minister is handling the responsibility, today there is no guardian minister and the work of giving direction to this system cannot be done. In such a situation, the previous government had decided to hold a monsoon session on July 18.
''
'' Again, the session has been postponed indefinitely due to political developments in the state. Different dates are being announced in different media and when the convention will be held is not certain.
