Ajay Maken flags off expedition of mountaineer Premlata

Sports Minister Ajay Maken today flagged off the expedition of ace mountaineer Premlata Agarwal. Agarwal has set her eyes on the 'Mountaineering Challenge', to climb the Seven Summits. After scaling Mt. Everest, 29,035 ft, Killimanjaro 19,334 ft and Aconcagua 22,841 ft, the 45-year-old mountaineer has now made up her mind to climb the remaining four- Mount Elbrus in Europe, Vinson Massif in Antarctica, Mount McKinley in North America and Carstensz Pyramid in Indonesia. Premlata's successful expedition would be an unprecedented achievement for India. Premlata has given herself time till 2013. If she achieves this feat she will become the first Indian and the oldest woman to conquer the seven summits.
