The All India Tennis Association, AITA, will make the final announcement on the men's doubles team for the London Olympics on Thursday which is also the last day to submit its names. The sports body was to make the announcement on Wednesday, but postponed the press-conference. On Tuesday, the AITA came out in support of Leander Paes in the row after both Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna refused to play with him in the London Olympics.The Sports Ministry also made it clear that it will leave the team selection to the Tennis Association. In a new twist to the ongoing tennis row, Leander Paes has threatened to pull out of the London Olympics if he has to team up with a lesser ranked player. Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister, S. M. Krishna has stepped in to resolve the issue. Krishna, who is also the Life President of the AITA, has asked its President Anil Khanna to meet all the players personally and talk to them immediately. He has also requested Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna to forget their personal differences and play for the country.
