All India Shia Personal Law Board, AISPLB has demanded enactment of law abolish tradition of triple Talaq, terming it anti- women. AISPLB passed a resolution in this regard in its executive meeting held today under Chairmanship of its president Maulana Mirza Mohammad Ashfaq at Lucknow.<br/><br/>Talking to media, spokesperson of the Board said that triple talaq has spoiled the lives of several Muslim women and it should be abolished. He said that the Board has also put its opinion before the Supreme Court, where a hearing is underway on the issue.<br/><br/>Extending its support to a fatwa issued by an Iranian cleric Ayatullah Basheer Nazafee opposing cow slaughtering in India, the Board has said that ban on cow slaughtering is reasonable and it should be implemented strictly.<br/><br/>Board has demanded setting up a separate commission on the pattern of Sachchar Commission to study the problems of Shia Community and suggest the government to resolve the educational, economic, political issues of Shia community.
