In Britain, airline passengers are facing disruption across the country after warnings of an ash cloud from a volcanic eruption in Iceland. <br/><br/>All airports in Scotland have been shut and there were disruptions at many others including Manchester, Liverpool, Stansted, Newcastle and Birmingham. <br/><br/>The Air Traffic Control Service has imposed restrictions after the Met Office warned that ash could damage engines. <br/><br/>Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow airports were also shut. Birmingham airport warned of severe disruption with about 90 per cent of flights cancelled. <br/>
