The Directorate General of Civil Aviation, DGCA, has issued fresh guidelines to all airlines following the skidding of King Fisher aircraft in Mumbai yesterday. The DGCA which ordered investigation into yesterday's incident has de-rostered six pilots of three airline operators – Kingfisher, Go Air and NACIL. The DGCA has also issued show-cause notices to three operators for alleged violation of its directions regarding wet runway operations. . It is also undertraking a safety assessment for short run away operations at Mumbai international airport and will take appropriate action. The guidelines say that no operation shall take place when runway surface is wet. Pilots are required to file de-briefing report after every flight.
