<br/>India today sent a special aircraft to Afghanistan to bring the back the bodies of its nationals, including army officials, who were killed in suicide attacks in Kabul. IAF officials said in New Delhi that the aircraft is carrying a team of medical officers and medicines.<br/><br/>At least nine Indians were among 17 people killed as Taliban suicide bombers carried out a string of attacks in the heart of Kabul, targeting Indian interests in Afghanistan. AIR correspondent reports a team of army officers and officials from the Ministry of External Affairs have also gone to Kabul to review the security situation there in the backdrop of the attacks on Friday.<br/><br/>The Indians, who died in the incident included embassy staffers from consulates in Herat and Kandahar, a member of a medical mission and Government officials. They have been identified as Major Dr Laishram Jyotin Singh of Army Medical Corps, Major Deepak Yadav of Army Education Corps, engineer Bhola Ram, tabla player Nawab Khan, staffer of Kandahar Consulate Nitish Chibber and ITBP constable Roshan Lal.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>Condemning the attacks, the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh said the Indians who have lost their lives were on a mission of goodwill and friendship, helping to construct the peaceful, democratic Afghanistan. Dr. Singh assured of all possible support to the families of those killed. Describing it as a heinous terrorist attack, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna said arrangements are being made for adequate and expeditious treatment of the injured.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>External Affairs Ministry Spokesman, Vishnu Prakash said India's relationship with Afghanistan is strong and deep and will remain so and the forces of terror will not be allowed to succeed. He said that everything will be done to see that these forces of terror are defeated.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>UN chief Ban Ki-moon has strongly condemned the suicide attacks that killed 17 people in the Afghan capital today, saying they demonstrated a senseless disregard for human life. He said deliberate targeting of civilians demonstrates once again a senseless disregard for human life on the part of the perpetrators.<br/><br/>
