<span style="color: #222222;">A Delhi court today extended till the 26th of this month the protection from arrest to former Union minister P Chidambaram and his son Karti in the Aircel-Maxis money laundering case. The case has been filed by the CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED). </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Solicitor General Tusshar Mehta, appearing for the CBI and ED, told CBI Special Judge OP Saini that they have to meet a deadline and Mr P Chidambaram is not co-operating. He told the court that the CBI will file its reply to the anticipatory bail application of the Congress leader.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Earlier, ED had told the court that custodial interrogation of the former Union Minister was necessary to unravel the truth. The CBI had, earlier, filed a charge sheet in the case saying that Mr Chidambaram had granted a Foreign Investment Promotion Board approval in 2006 to Mauritius-based Global Communication Services Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary of Maxis.7The ED is also probing a separate money-laundering case in the matter, in which the former Union Minister and his son have been questioned by the agency.</span><br />
