Air traffic has resumed at the primary runway of Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai following the removal of the stuck Turkish Airways aircraft which had skidded off the taxiway while landing on Friday morning.
Mumbai International Airport Limited, Spokesperson Ms. Anindita Sinha told AIR that flight operations on the main runway have started and the stuck aircraft has been moved to Air India’s hanger.
Air India flight 675 from Mumbai to Kolkatta took off at 7: 07 am on Monday morning from the primary runway, and the Singapore Airlines flight 403 landed from Hyderabad at 07: 12 am.
A Mumbai bound Turkish Airways flight TK-720 arriving from Istanbul with 97 passengers aboard had skidded off the taxiway very close to the main runway at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai on Friday leading to delays and diversions in flight operations.
