For the first time All India Radio will be part of the Republic Day parade this year showcasing it's journey of more than eight decades in the domain of public service, promotion and preservation of socio cultural and linguistic heritage. <br/><br/>Briefing media in New Delhi this afternoon, Director General of AIR Fayyaz Shehryar said, AIR Signature Tune, Vande Mataram and other musical instruments will be played while AIR tableau move on at Rajpath. <br/><br/>He said, the tableau will showcase Mahatma Gandhi's maiden and only broadcast on AIR, traditional radio set, diverse listeners, AIR's symbiotic relationship with luminaries of Indian Music and heritage building of AIR Broadcasting house.<br/><br/>Mr Shehryar said, AIR has produced an iconic song for Republic Day on the theme of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat with singers drawn from all regions of the country.
