In commemoration of the centenary of Champaran Satyagrah, historically Mahatama Gandhi's first Satyagrah on Indian soil, All India Radio, Delhi will broadcast on its FM Rainbow channel a special program entitled, "Rann Champaran". <br/><br/>This will be a 39 episode serial program of ten minutes duration, retracing the movement, which began as a protest of the farmers against the Indigo cultivation and the high handedness of Indigo planters but soon developed into a full fledged movement against colonialism. The program will commence from today at 9:05 AM and will be broadcast till 18th of next month.
