Today we will bring to you the success stories of tribal women. Tribal Women of Kabir Dham district of Chattisgarh have found their source of income by forming a self-help group. Vidya Srinivas the member of the Jai Maa Durga self Help Group said, the group took a loan of 1 lakh rupees from the Gramin Bank and the interest rate on the amount was very less.<br />”<br />”The members of the Self Help Group earned 10 thousand rupees each after repaying the loan. Talking to All India Radio News, Vidya Srivas, informed about the activities the group is involved in.</span><br />

International Women's Day is celebrated on 8th of March. All India Radio News honors women achievers from diverse fields by bringing their stories. Today, we bring to you the stories of women environmentalists. Poornima Savargaonkar, a former ISRO Scientist has now turned into a horticulturist. She is also an entrepreneur. Her start-up Enriched Soil and Soul produces soil from stubble waste, agri waste and horticulture waste.&lt;br /&gt;''&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;''AIR correspondent reports, her enterprise sells seven varieties of soil. The soil is made of stubble waste and organic material. Her initiative is sustainable as it reduces the burden on the environment. She sources this waste from a farmer family in the NCR region. She grows 70 varieties of food at the terrace of her residence using soil made by her from stubble. Talking to All India Radio News, Ms. Savargaonkar informed that she teaches people on how to compost their kitchen waste. Ms. Savargaonkar teaches urban gardening, waste management at various platforms.&lt;br /&gt;''&lt;br /&gt;''Ms Sarvagaonkar believes that plastic should be recycled. She says generation of new plastic should be reduced.&lt;br /&gt;
