Air India pilots end their strike; Flights resume at Mumbai and Chenai; Situation in Delhi yet to be resolved

Air India pilots decides to end their strike. In a new turn of events in Mumbai on Monday agreed not to continue their strike. The breakthrough came in the talks with the committee set up by the management. In an attempt to reach on accord, the AI management held a meeting with about 20 Mumbai based executive pilots and decided to set up a committee, to look into the productivity linked incentive (PLI) cut which resulted in the stir. Air India Spokesperson said that the committee, comprising Executive Director of Finance , Executive Director of Industrial Relations , General Manager of Operations in Mumbai and representatives of the executive pilots, would address the concerns of the agitating executive pilots over the cut in the PLIs.Meanwhile, Air India cancelled 14 flights from Delhi as a section of the pilots refused to accept the management's proposal to set up a committee. An Air India official said the pilots of these flights did not report to work. In a bid to buy peace with its agitating pilots, Air India had on Sunday night, put on hold the cut in the pilots Productivity-Linked Incentives.
