Air India pilots have decided to defer their proposed strike till the 31st of this month following the Civil Aviation Ministry setting up a three-member committee to examine the wage parity issue. This was disclosed by Captain Rishabh Kapoor, General Secretary of Indian Commercial Pilot's Association, ICPA, after a 10-hour tripartite meeting with Air India management and the Chief Labour Commissioner in New Delhi last night. On Tuesday, Delhi High Court had restrained pilots from going on strike from today. Captain Kapur said, the three-member committee headed by retire Supreme Court judge D N Dharmadhikari will submit its report in 5 months but Air India management will give an interim proposal to Civil Aviation Ministry by March 31 on the wage parity issue.
