Air India management agreed to withdraw incentive cut

Offering olive branch to the striking pilots, Air India management has agreed to withdraw incentive cut. According to Air India sources in Mumbai, the Management has also agreed to set up a committee to look into the performance incentives modalities.Protesting against a cut of up to 50 per cent in their performance-linked incentives (PLI), and payment of their due salaries of last three months, senior pilots have been boycotting their work since Saturday by reporting sick. Following the agitation, Air India yesterday cancelled more than 30 domestic and international flights operating out of various cities. The national carrier cancelled 17 flights from the national capital, five each from Mumbai and Chennai and four from Kolkata. According to an Air India official , as per the contingency plan, flights on those sectors which have low passenger load or on which there are alternative flights have been cancelled.
