Air India Express aircraft makes emergency landing in Cochin

In Kerala, an Air India Express aircraft from Kuwait bound for Kozhikode via Kochi made an emergency landing at the Cochin International Airport this morning after it indicated hydraulic system failure midair. All the 61 passengers and six crew members on board the aircraft are safe. Air India sources said the passengers bound for Kozhikode were later sent by road. “The aircraft indicated hydraulic system failure midair as it was about 45 minutes flying distance away from the Cochin International Airport . The Kozhikode bound Air India Express aircraft, which has a scheduled stopover at Kochi, had 61 passengers and six crew members on board. The aircraft finally made a safe landing at the Cochin International Airport. Air India sources said 41 passengers bound for Kozhikode were later sent by road.”
